2025 Subaru BRZ Series.Purple

Overview
For many, driving is more than just a way to get from one place to another – it’s an experience, a thrill, and sometimes even a passion. This is exactly why cars like the Subaru BRZ remain popular, even as crossovers and SUVs dominate the market. As a lightweight sports coupe, the BRZ provides nimble, dynamic handling that can inject some serious excitement into an otherwise mundane drive. With its standard manual transmission, performance-focused rear-wheel drivetrain, and powerful 228-horsepower engine, the BRZ is crafted for those who crave a more exhilarating connection with the road.
For 2025, Subaru will introduce the Series.Purple trim level, which will command attention with its exclusive Galaxy Purple Pearl exterior. Aside from that striking paint coat, expect the Series.Purple to show off unique design touches inside and out, along with performance enhancements that heighten the BRZ’s famously precise driving dynamics. This exclusive edition will be limited to just 500 units and is expected to arrive in early 2025. Until then, here’s a look at what’s in store for Subaru’s most performance-focused model.

Distinctive Exterior Design
While the 2025 BRZ will be largely similar to its predecessor, the new Series.Purple is set to bring a fresh sense of style to the lineup. This special edition upgrade will have an exclusive paint color called Galaxy Purple Pearl, complemented by black exterior badging and satin-silver 18-inch wheels with high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer tires. Beyond that, the Series.Purple will receive a Torsen limited-slip differential, heated side mirrors, steering-responsive LED headlights, and welcome lighting for an extra touch of elegance.
Race-Inspired Interior
Subaru combines the aesthetics of luxury and performance within the 2025 BRZ’s driver-centric cabin. With the new Series.Purple edition, look for black leather and Ultrasuede upholstery with gray contrast stitching, heated front sport-style seats, and Subaru Tecnica International (STI) logos on the engine start button and shift knob – a clear indication of its performance pedigree). Plus, the Series.Purple will have dual-zone automatic climate control, a rear center storage box with dual USB-A data and charging ports, and an immersive 10-speaker audio system.
Powertrain and Precision Handling
Under the hood, the ’25 BRZ keeps its renowned 2.4-liter naturally aspirated flat-four engine, which puts out a gutsy 228 horsepower. This is to be accompanied by a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional six-speed automatic, as well as a rear-wheel drivetrain that ensures balanced weight distribution for the exceptional handling expected from this model. The Series.Purple edition will take this setup further with a special STI short-throw shifter and a flexible V-Bar, enhancing chassis rigidity and reducing body roll for sharper cornering.
Advanced EyeSight Safety Features
Safety will remain a priority across all ‘25 BRZ trims, with Subaru’s standard EyeSight suite of advanced driver-assist technologies (adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure and sway warning, lane keep assist, and automatic high beams). Since it’s based on the BRZ Limited trim, the Series.Purple will also come with blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. Reverse automatic braking will be available.
