2026 Subaru Uncharted

The first-ever Uncharted gives Subaru’s EV lineup a jolt with its mix of eco-friendly efficiency, trail readiness, and instant torque. As the first of the automaker’s three 2026 debut models, it’s generous with range and capable off the pavement, but what drivers will notice first is its outstanding quickness, reaching 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. Like the gas-burning BRZ sport coupe, this newcomer steps away from standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, at least in the base trim, in favor of a heightened driving experience for those who enjoy pushing the pedal.

All three trims boast class-best ground clearance of 8.1 inches plus short front and rear overhangs for increased maneuverability off the pavement. The two higher trims add to this trail readiness with Symmetrical AWD and dual-function X-MODE with Grip Control settings for snow, dirt, deep snow, and mud.

Efficient, Practical, & Quick

The base Premium FWD harnesses a 221-horsepower front-wheel-drive setup that delivers the longest range of any Subaru EV yet: up to 308 miles on a single charge. That range outdoes rivals such as the Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia Niro EV. A standard battery preconditioning system supports quick charging even in sub-freezing temperatures.

Aesthetically, the Uncharted embraces Subaru’s evolving EV design traits, highlighted by slim LED headlights and a confident front fascia with powerful sculpted lines also seen on its EV siblings, the Solterra and Trailseeker. Inside, heated front seats, dual wireless smartphone chargers, a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen with navigation, and Subaru EyeSight driver-assistance technology all come standard. The two higher trims add upscale touches such as a panoramic glass roof and Harman Kardon audio.

True to Subaru form, practicality remains a priority. The Uncharted provides up to 23 cubic feet of storage behind the back seat, an adjustable cargo deck for flexible loading, and up to 60 cubic feet of cargo space with the second row folded.
