Balise Subaru is a proud supporter of Subaru Loves Pets!
This year we are proud to partner with East Greenwich Animal Protection League for a virtual pet adoption! East Greenwich Animal Protection League currently has over 20 animals looking for their furever homes.

About Our Partner Shelter
East Greenwich Animal Protection League
EGAPL Heart of RI was formally known as The East Greenwich Animal Protection League and was founded in 1976. It was started by a small group of passionate animal advocates, led by Dorothy Fahey, who wanted to create a safe haven for homeless and abandoned pets. Their shared vision was to establish an all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming companion animals, at a time when very few resources for animal welfare existed in Rhode Island.
As a non‑profit organization we are committed to the rescue, quality care, and adoption of companion animals into forever homes. We will always support and share the valuable lessons of kindness, respect, and guidance on responsible pet ownership.

More Ways To LOVE Pets!
Getting
involved is easy. We know your phone is full of photos of your furry
friends…ours, too. All you have to do is post! Throughout the month of October,
post a public photo or video of your pet on Facebook, Instagram, X, or
TikTok using the hashtag #SNELovesPets. For each unique post, we'll
pledge $5 to our 12 shelter partners, up to $75,000!* Our goal is
to hit a total 15,000 (or more!) pet posts using #SNELovesPets, which
will ensure each shelter receives $6,250!
For
Subaru of New England, this campaign is about more than just raising funds
- it's about spreading the word for the animals we love. With your help,
we can raise awareness and make sure shelter pets get the care, love, and
forever homes they deserve.

How Can You Help?
There are many ways individuals can help animals in need. Here are some impactful actions you can take:Adopt, Don't Shop: Consider adopting a pet from a shelter or rescue organization instead of buying from a breeder or pet store. Volunteer: Offer your time at local animal shelters or rescue groups. Tasks can range from walking dogs to helping with administrative work. Donate: Financial contributions, pet food, supplies, or even old blankets and towels can make a big difference. Foster: Provide a temporary home for animals in need, helping them transition from shelters to permanent homes. Advocate: Raise awareness about animal welfare issues in your community and support legislation that protects animals. Educate: Teach others about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying/neutering pets to control the animal population. Report Abuse: If you witness animal cruelty or neglect, report it to local authorities or animal control. Support Ethical Brands: Choose products from companies that prioritize animal welfare and avoid those that test on animals.
Every small action can contribute to a larger impact in improving the lives of animals. 🐾
