On March 23, general manager of Balise Subaru, Peter Boursiquot, and general sales manager, Ryan McNally presented a check to the West Warwick Animal Shelter for $9,185.
Lt. Tiernan of the West Warwick Police Department accepted the check on behalf of the shelter. Also in attendance was Ken Scanzio, district manager for Subaru of New England.
This donation coincides with the Subaru of America, Inc.'s national year-end "Share the Love" event, designed as a way for Subaru retailers to give back to their local communities. During this nationwide campaign, for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased from Nov. 20, 2014 through Jan. 2, 2015, Subaru donated $250 to the purchaser’s choice of participating charities.
This year, the four participating charities included: ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels Association of America®, and National Park Foundation. As in previous years, retailers were able to choose a fifth charity from their hometown community for their customers to support. Balise Subaru selected the local animal shelter.
"We are thrilled to partner with the West Warwick Animal Shelter. It's a great organization that works very hard to find every animal in its care a loving home," said Jeb Balise, president of Balise Motor Sales. "We're happy to help them, and we know how much this shelter means to our Subaru customers."
The shelter's mission is to raise the necessary funds in an effort to meet the needs of every animal in order to give them the best possible chance of getting adopted into a forever home.
Balise Subaru is pleased to partner with the West Warwick Animal Shelter in support of that mission.
