If you're like most Subaru owners, you're going to keep your car for a long time. After all, few automakers have earned such a stellar reputation for reliability and longevity. But as good as Subaru's original manufacturer's warranty is, it can't last forever. That's where Subaru protection plans come in to provide peace of mind during your vehicle's golden years.

Subaru has designed the Added SecurityÒ vehicle protection plans to give you additional worry-free years of driving, and interest-free financing is available for vehicles under 3 years/36,000 miles. Best of all, these plans have been backed for over 25 years directly by Subaru - not a third party - and all repairs are made by Subaru's own factory-trained technicians using only genuine Subaru parts.

Why Purchase an Extended Warranty?

At some point in the life of your vehicle, you may have to make a decision on whether to buy an extended service contract or vehicle protection plan and which level to choose. These extended warranties allow drivers to keep an older or higher-miles car or SUV for additional years without worrying about paying for the expensive repairs that are more likely to come along as vehicles age. If you've had to empty your bank account in the past for a major automotive repair, you'll likely sleep better at night knowing your car is protected against the unexpected.

A Plan for Every Subaru Driver

"New" Added Security plans can be added to a vehicle as its original factory warranty runs out at 3 years or 36K miles. Vehicles beyond that point that have not exceeded 100,000 miles are eligible for the "Used" category of the Subaru protection plans. Maintenance plans can be added on to either a New or Used plan to cover the recommended service visits at regular mile intervals, with a choice of 3,750 or 7,500 mile intervals.

Subaru offers two levels of protection, Classic and Gold Plus, and the contractual terms - including the fine print - are straightforward and easy to understand. The lower-priced Classic Plan covers the following:

·         Major parts and repairs - engine, transmission, AWD, and more

·         Towing, if the car breaks down because a covered system fails

·         Car rental (up to $35 per day for up to 5 days) while your Subaru is being repaired

In addition to all of the above points, the premium-level Gold Plus Plan adds trip interruption allowance (up to $500 toward lodging and meals if you break down 50-plus miles from home). It also covers parts and repairs for these systems and more:

·         Air conditioning

·         Front suspension

·         Electrical

·         Steering

·         Brakes

There are eight plan lengths to choose from, ranging up to 7 years or 100,000 miles, as well as deductible options from $0 on up. The coverage is even transferable to a new owner, should you choose to replace your car before the plan runs out.

You love your Subaru, and it was built to last a very long time. So give it the protection plan coverage that will keep it safe and sound for the duration.
