The 2026 Solterra has been given some extensive updates to increase its capability and day-to-day practicality. The model's new performance powertrain produces 338 horsepower, delivering sports-car-like acceleration from zero to 60 mph in under five seconds. Meanwhile, the base dual-motor configuration gets an 18-horsepower boost to 233. Part of the changes for this model year include adding several XT-labeled trims to the lineup, indicating the more powerful version of the powertrain.

At the same time, range has been significantly expanded to as much as 288 miles on a full charge. Owners will also be able to charge their vehicles at any Tesla charging station thanks to the addition of a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. The updated exterior features a cleaner front end with new lighting elements, fresh wheel designs, and subtle aerodynamic tweaks, giving the Solterra a more confident, contemporary look. The cabin gets a cleaner layout anchored by a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen (replacing the previous generation's 8-inch screen) and other upgraded tech, such as a wireless smartphone charging pad for two devices. Plus, all but the base Premium now get a foot-activated rear liftgate.
